This is a magnificent and spectacular commemoration of medieval and Renaissance customs and life, involving the entire city gets involved. The two medieval factions of the Upper City and the Lower City challenge each other in skits, concerts, singing and dancing, processions and archery, crossbow and flag-throwing demonstrations. The residents of the city quarters distinguish themselves through their songs, floral displays, flags and torchlight displays.
